Photo Oriented Anniversary Album !

So I had the chance of making this big 12X12 scrapbook for a couple who were completing their 10 years of togetherness. Oh well, what better way to celebrate than to flip through the pages of a beautiful scrapbook, looking at all the photos(old & new) and re-living the treasured moments :)

This 10 page album has lots of photos, and by lots I mean more than 100(hence photo-oriented :)) so I had to really push my brain to think of ways to add more photos while not adding more pages. Interactive elements saved my life and the book turned out to be awesome :)

Here is the cover

The fabric beneath the photo was upcycled from an old dress and I love the feel it gives to the cover. The photo was then stitched down on the fabric using some simple hand stitches on the corners.

Mother's Day Gift - Photo fridge magnets!

Okay I admit, I have been procrastinating the blog posts for a while now(Mother's Day was like 3 days ago :)). Not because I am lazy but because I am tired these days with all the family commitments and work stuff and then having a very-active-11-month-old baby around doesn't help at all :)

Anyways, I just wanted to share what I gifted my 2 mothers (mum-in-law and mum) this year on Mother's day. Let's face it, mother's love their kids but when the grand child arrives, all their focus shifts to the new member in the family :)
Although I miss all the attention I used to get, I also feel happy that my daughter Aadya has such wonderful and loving grandparents.
So I thought nothing would make the grand mother's happier more than a picture of their grand daughter. I took the pictures of my daughter and converted them into fridge magnets with a personalized message at the bottom. And I had a cute and meaning full gift ready in no time :)

Nani is what Aadya would call…

Favor boxes anyone?

I love trying out new things and I had a blast when I tried making these little 2X2 boxes. They are just plain cute :)

Perfect for holding little treats and I mean not just sweet treats, how about some jewellery?

And I think they will be perfect favors for any party be it birthdays, weddings or  just about anything. All you need to do is match the theme of the boxes to the occasion.

The ones I made are for holding chocolate truffles, one in each box...cute right??

I am giddy with the idea of receiving some yum chocolate truffles in these super cute tiny little boxes :)
