MDF Square Tray!

Hello lovelies and Happy weekend!

I finished making this fabulous square MDF tray from Craftslane yesterday. I am new to decoupage and still discovering the dos and don'ts of it but it was so much fun experimenting.

This was so easy to do and that fact it looks like its hand painted is the icing on the cake :D
And here is how it all came together (I followed the tutorial here) :)
1.  Start with the MDF square tray and give a coat of Acrylic Paints. I tried to match the inside color with the background on the decoupage napkin that I planned on using, just so everything looks like one at the end.
2. Let it dry. Use more coats of paint if needed. I did 2 coats here.
3. Using a sand paper, sand the tray edges a little for a worn off look. If you look closely, you will be able to spot the highlights peeking behind from the paint because of sanding.
3. Use your favorite decoupage napkin (which by the way are available at Craftslane at awesome prices), carefully separate the napkin plys(the…

MDF Chest of drawers!

Today is a happy day because today I am back to sharing the fabulous Craftslane products with you after a long break. I am even more excited because Craftslane has launched some fabulous new products in the past month, things you are going to love for sure :)

And one of the things I love, I mean absolutely love from the new range of products is the chest of drawers. These chest of drawers are available in 2 sizes and are not only great to decorate but have utility too.

When I saw the beautiful Kaisercraft Papers from the Tea Break collection, I knew I had to attempt a vintage look for the drawers :)

Craftslane also stocks these fabulous paper flowers and they were perfect for my vintage theme :) I also added some rhinestone swirls by Prima on the top and Craftslane has a lot of variety of swirls from Kaisercraft to choose from.

Oh and before I forget, Craftslane has a whole range of fabulous dies and embossing folder too. The one I am using here is a corner die from JoyCrafts which I…

Heartfelt Creations Inspiration - Because I care Card!

It's Wednesday and time for some Heartfelt Creations inspiration and I have a card for you! Ever since I received the Sweet Juliet die, I have been really stuck on it for it's uniqueness. There are so many possibilities with it and it's simply amazing.

Here's what I created and you can find the instructions and complete supply list on the Heartfelt Creations Blog.

(Sorry for the bad picture quality. I am working from a different location without my camera this month)
Don't forget to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog and see all the beautiful creations by the talented Design. Team.

You are such a Blessing to me!

So here's my first project as a member of Heartfelt Creations design team. I still can't believe I made it and I am so excited for the next 6 months.

I made a layout featuring my daughter (love that smile of hers :)) using the newly released Sweet Juliet die collection and gorgeous papers from Antiquity paper pad.

All project instructions and detailed supply list can be found on the Heartfelt Creation blog.

I followed the C'est Magnifique November Sketch (flipped it) for this layout and just loved using the Sweet Juliet collection. This layout is much prettier IRL :)

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the designers this week.

Thank you mini card!

The BIG and happy news first!

I will be on the design team of one of my favorite stamp/die/papers manufacturers Heartfelt Designs for the next 6 months! It is such an honor and a-dream-come-true moment for me. I am pretty excited :)

And here is some crafty share, a few days back I made a bunch of mini thank you cards and here they are. I love sending out little thank you notes with my commissioned work and these bitty cards are perfect for that :)
I had the opportunity to make these for a new chocolate brand around called Bliss Chocolates.

Each of these 5 designs was replicated in 10 cards making the total number of cards to be 50. It was super fun :)

I am still holidaying and getting ready for my elder brother's wedding, but I will try and keep the blog up with some of the work I finished before starting vacations.

Have a happy and safe Diwali!

Guest Designing at Lulupu today!

Just a little hello to let you know that I am guest designing over at Lulupu blog today! I was a winner of their last challenge and was invited over.

Here is a little peek of what I am sharing

I hope you will drop and say hi to me there :)

See ya soon!

Baby Girl Album/Record Book!

Here is the girl version of the baby album that I posted sometime back HERE.
I  love making these cute albums :)

See ya another time soon!

Thank you!

A big thank you as you guys continue to leave such fabulous comments, encourage and keep this blog growing. We are past 300 followers and 1600 facebook fans. How cool is that?

So it's only apt that I post a thank you card today, dedicated to all you guys who take the time out to appreciate what I do :)

I used the colors (Azure Blue, Gray, Cherry Red) from the current 10 Minute Craft Dash #26.

I finished this sweet mini thank you card in 9 minutes 46 seconds. I chose a simple layout to be able to finish the card way before 10 minutes and then no cookies for guessing, what took me so long. Fussy cutting those flowers, ofcourse. :)
Have a great weekend my friends!

Birthday Explosion Box!

Here is something that I am very proud of. This was my first attempt at a 3D paper cake and I adore how it turned out. More loved because I am not really a pink girl and this explosion is all pink and I still love it :)

Don't ya love that cake? By the way, I recycled the "Happy Birthday" from an actual birthday cake :D
I am entering this for the Lessology Challenge#29 - Birthday Party Lulupu Challenge#17 - Fancy Me (I fancy special fold cards and I fancy trying out new things) Itsy Bitsy Challenge - Pretty with Pink (Pink, pearls, pattern papers, posy, paper clips, photographs)
Hope you fellas like it !

Friends are special treasures!

As I said a while back, I have been wanting to playing along some of my favorite challenges for sometime now and let's say today is a start. Those who know me know that I love to stamp and I love to get more out of each of my stamps :)

So when I bought this tiny and beautiful rose stamp that I used in the card here, I knew it had more possiblities waiting to be explored.

I tried the watercolor effect with heat embossing with it and I love the effect. All I did was white heat emboss the rose image all around the watercolor paper to make a kind of frame and then went crazy with colors, no rules followed :)

I am playing along Lulupu's Fortnight challenge of stamp, emboss and color.

Hope you like it! Thanks for dropping in here :)

Baby Boy Record Book!

So I made this book long time back but never got around to sharing it here.

Nothing much to talk about it, photos say it all :)

Love doing baby projects! What's not to love <3 p="">
