Vintage Lady Mixed Media Canvas + Video Tutorial

Hello there,

I know I keep disappearing from this blog but there are so much social media out there, it's hard to keep up! I think I am most active on Instagram these days, so if you'd like to stay connected and check out my daily updates, follow me HERE.

I also started doing easy weekly tutorials on Instagram (one more reason why you should follow me there :) ) and we created this beautiful mixed media canvas that I am sharing with you here today.

What makes this special is that it wasn't all planned and I made it on the go (almost live) and shared the step by step process in my Instagram stories. You can find the TUTORIAL HERE

I also made the flowers for the canvas and will soon share the process video for these too. It was super fun to get back to creating my own flowers.

And here's a list of supplies I used to create this canvas

DIY Handmade Paper Flowers That Look Like Store-Bought | Video Tutorial

Hello lovely people,

Blogging has taken such a back seat these days but I promise you I have been pretty active on other social media handles. :)

I just wanted to pop in here and share this free video tutorial on how you can easily make your own handmade flowers and use them in your paper projects like tags, cards, scrapbooks, etc.

These are super easy to make and look absolutely stunning! Enjoy the video tutorial and don't forget to share with me if you try these out!

Have a great crafty weekend and I will see you soon again!

Mixed Media Canvas - You are worth it!

Mixed media is possibly one of my favorite things to do, mostly because there is no right or wrong! There are so many techniques and so many ways to express your art.

I recently made this mixed media canvas on commission from inputs from the client.

The color palette was suggested by the client as she wanted it to match the recipient's home decor.

The natural wood elements are from our park and quite a lot from Itsy Bitsy.

The beautiful frame, which I spray painted gold, is from Crafters Corner and so is the preserved moss. The quote is handwritten and then treated with distress stains.

The chipboard embellishments are from Mudra and the bird, which I am super proud of, is handmade using a glue gun.

So, all in all, there are a lot of creative elements to this piece and I loved how it turned out.

I hope you liked it too!

Thank you for stopping by today!

XOXO

Blue & Lavender Shadow box!

Hello there,

I haven't blogged in ages it seems :) So popping in here to say Hi and to share this beautiful shadow box I made sometime back but never got around to sharing here.

Pattern papers used are from Dress My Craft and they coordinated perfectly with the photos. I have been hoarding these papers for so long now, just because they are so pretty <3

I added a few stamped sentiments and I think they look perfect for this particular composition.

Some Prima embellishments and mulberry flowers to accent the box and fill up the empty spaces.

I hope you liked this shadow box. It makes for a great, unique and beautiful gift!
See you again!
XOXO Ujjwal

2nd Annual Cutest Video Hop Ever | Video

Hello and welcome to the 2nd Annual Cutest Video Hop Ever! My daughter Aadya and I
are excited to be joining Emily Leiphart for this fun hop, crafting with our kids and inspiring
the next generation of crafters! We hope you have as much fun watching us craft with our kids,
as much as we enjoyed creating these projects to share with you.
The video hop is filled with talented mums and very cute and talented kids and you wouldn't want
to miss even a single video.

We created these cute cards with watercolor backgrounds and some die-cuts and had the most fun ever.
Aadya also did the video voice over and I think that is the cutest things ever.

Complete hop details, including all participant links and a full prize list, are on Emily's blog too: https://leiphartonart.blogspot.com/2019/04/2nd-annual-cutest-video-hop-ever-giveaways.html
All of the artists' YouTube links are below. Please remember that comments here on the blog, while greatly appreciated, are not eligible for the giveaway…

Loose Watercolour Florals | Video Tutorial

Hello there,

The last couple of weeks have been hard and exhausting for me, both physically and emotionally. I finally decided to take a break from commissions and do something just for the joy of it. I love watercolors and spending 30 minutes painting this not-so-perfect week was probably the best thing I did entire week :)

I am glad I recorded the entire video because watercolors are so soothing to watch. I hope you agree with me after watching the video :)

All supplies used are linked below in case you want to check them out.

Supplies used: Prima Watercolor Paper 6" X6", Gansai Tambi Watercolors, Brustro Technical Pen 0.5
The process is simple and the loose watercolor florals can hardly go wrong. If you are beginning with watercolors, I would highly recommend starting with florals.

Don't forget to leave me a comment and keep me motivated!
Love, Ujjwal

Music themed Anniversary Album | Video flip through

Hello there,

I know I haven't posted here in a long long time but I have been sharing a lot of my projects on my Instagram account, so if you don't follow me there yet, go ahead and follow.

This album is one of the unique ones that I have made in recent times and I loved working on it. I am sharing some of my favorite pages from the album here and I hope you like the complete video flip through of the album.

I used the "Rosette Paper Collection" from Bob n Betty and mixed in some papers from "The Wedding" Paper Collection from Papericious.

And here's the video flip through

I hope you like it as much as I did making it! I have so many other projects to share here in the coming days so don't forget to check back later. Love, Ujjwal
