Easy Star Shaped Mini Album | VIdeo Tutorial

Hello there,

How have you all been? It's been a long time, I know, but I am just trying balance everything with the kids and house and work and it's EXHAUSTING! So, I just decided to take a little break (especially from social media) but I just wanted to pop in here and share my newest tutorial on the Pretty Paper Studio Blog.

It is heartwarming to know that so many of you love my mini albums and so I added another album tutorial to the series and this one is called Star Album, for it opens to look like a star. I saw these on Pinterest and couldn't resist trying.

Hop on to the Pretty Paper Studio blog to check out all the photos of the album. And here's the video tutorial, so you can try making your own,

Let me know if you give this a try! Have a great week ahead. love, Ujjwal

Monochromatic Mixed Media Cards | Video Tutorial

Hello there,

I have been taking it a bit easy after baby number 2 and so just wanted to relax and do my favorite thing - participate in challenges :)

So when I was thinking about my design team post for the TCW blog, I thought of creating these mixed media cards keeping in mind The Twisted Challenge#4 - Celebrations + Monochrome which I think is such a unique theme

and Mudra Challenge 25 - Layer it up which is totally out of my comfort zone.

I love how vibrant and beautiful the end result came out to be.

For the background, I used the TCW Heavy Body Paints and mediums. Check out the video below to see I how I created it. Then I used the Mudra Craft Stamp "Simply Floral" to create my floral embellishments. I also used the Mudra Craft Stamp "Special Day" to add more interest to the background.

To keep the theme monochrome, I created my own shades of green by mixing colors. I love all the final textures that I was able to create.

Baby Girl Mini Album!

Sharing a mini 8"X6" mini album I made on commission sometime back. I used the DCWV paper pack and lots of different embellishments to decorate it.

These are just some of my favorite pages from the entire book. Loved the way it turned out and was equally loved by the client too.
See you again soon with another project, Ujjwal

Create a scene using masking with Lawn Fawn Flamingo Together | Video Tutorial

Hello there,

So today after a really long time I made a card totally inspired by the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #21.
I have been buying and hoarding all their cute stamps and dies for so long and decided to finally put them to use.

This is the lovely inspiration board that caught my eye

I was inspired by that sun scene, all the hearts, the pink and the general love theme of the board. I used masking to create the little flamingo scene and have the whole process on video as to how I created it.

(Supplies: Lawn Fawn Flamingo Together Stamp Set, Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Die, Tombow Brush Pen Markers, Pentel Waterbrush, Archival Black Ink, Lawn Fawn Trimmings VIVID, Iris Cardstock, Canson Montval Watercolor Paper, Distress Inks (Spiced Marmalade, Picked Rasberry, Peeled Paint, Seedless Preserves, Mustard Seed), Hero Arts Neon Ink)

Here's the video of how I created the card,

I hope you like it and play along the challenge if it interests you as much as me :) Have a great day!

Altered Mixed Media Box | Video Tutorial

Hello there,

A very Happy New Year!

I know I have been neglecting the blog for a really long time now and there's really no excuse for it. So one of the things I plan on doing this year is to be regular with blogging. It used to give me so much joy to write the blog posts and I wish to bring that joy back.

So today, I am sharing a mixed media box that I made recently on commission and totally loved it. The theme was vintage and masculine and I don't have to tell you how big a challenge that can be :)

I started with a raw MDF box from Craftslane, adding texture with stencils and then building dimension with Papericious chipboards and metal charms. I have a video of the complete process for you at the end of this post.

The box was designed to fit 27 vintage envelopes which were made using the WRMK Envelope Punch Board and Prima Marketing Papers and each envelope was filled with a photo and note from a childhood memory.

Here's the video of the complete process. I hope you li…
