This is no secret that I am obsessed with water colors, mostly because that was my primary medium to express while growing up and I am just excited to see that it has caught up so well in the industry.

I chose to color the Sunflower from the Classic Sunflower Collection using distress inks and indulging in some no line watercoloring. I masked the flowers a couple of times to create the bunch.

I love how it turned out and I hope you like it too.
Here is the Blog Hop order to get you started.

You are one-of-a-kind Friend | Shaker Card

I love interactive cards and so I really wanted to play along the Lulupu Challenge #64 - Friendship with a twist Challenge which is to make friendship shaker cards.

I have these lovely mermaid and fishy stamps from Impression Obsession and I combined them with a sentiment from Papertrey Ink Stamp set.

I stamped and water colored the images using distress inks and added some highlights with a white gel pen and glitter pen. The sentiment is heat embossed using zing embossing powder.

Here is a little peek at the shaker action and all the glittery highlights :)

I hope you liked this project :) Have a great day!

Fussy Cutting with stamping + Video Tutorial !

I have to share a card and video that posted on the Mudra Blog a couple of days back, bringing you some fresh inspiration and making an attempt to help you get started on stamping and letting the fear go away.

I absolutely love stamping, it's one of my favorite things in the whole wide world of art supplies. I also love using watercolors. If you are new to stamping, you might find it intimidating to stamp directly on the card base, for if you don't get it right, it will be difficult to salvage. Fussy cutting is a technique that can rescue you. It is one of my favorites too. Simply stamp your images on a separate piece of paper and fussy cut them and them figure out the placement on your final card.

Today, I created this card using the same technique and I also have a video, sharing the process.

Creating backgrounds with Distress inks (Feat. Impression Obsession Stamps & Dies)

I have another card featuring the fabulous Impression Obsession Rubber Stamp and dies to share with you today. I based this card on their new challenge - Squared which is to create square cards or incorporate squares in your projects.

I went with a 6"X6" square card and used this adorable stamp called Sassy Sister. I colored the image with my Faber Castell Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils and added some glitter highlights with Flair Glitter Gel Pens.

For the background, I used the Hill Landscape Layers Die and distress inks (crushed olive, mowed lawn, salty ocean). I also sprinkled some water on top to achieve that cool look. The sentiment is from a stamp set called Warm Fuzzies Sentiments and "Sister" is hand-written.

I hope you can catch the glitter in the picture above. I had so much fun coloring in this girl. She is adorable.

Emma Lou is the creative director at Heartfelt Creations and I feel so happy to have worked with her in the past and to know her a little bit better. She is an amazing person, very talented and super sweet. And today we have got together to celebrate her special day through a blog hop.

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday and a fabulous year ahead! I hope you have a great day with your family and friends!

Here's the card I created for her. I heat embossed the background stamp on vellum and then colored on the backside using Chameleon Pens. A simple vellum card that I hope she will like :)

Also, the Heartfelt Creations team is super sweet and offering a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations for hopping along and leaving a comment on participating blogs. The hop starts at 8 am EST on Thursday 11th August 2016 and closes on Tuesday 16th August at midnight. So hop along for a chance to win.

Watercolor pencils + pencil highlights!

I have a lovely card to share today. I love using my stamps in a different way then they are intended to and I love extending them and come up with fun ideas to use them on cards.

For today's card, I am using Impression Obsession Patterned Circle Cling Stamp and using it as the center of a flower. I will be coloring using Faber Castell Watercolor Pencils and then adding highlights using Staedtler Luna Color Pencils which really lifts up the project.

You can watch the process of how I created this card HERE

I am submitting this card for the Simon Says: Fabulous Floral Challenge and STAMPlorations August Challenge where the theme is to use Markers/Pencils.
