Nirmal Watercolors(similar to Peerless watercolors)- Storage & Coloring + Giveaway!

Hello, Today I have a couple of cards to share that I made for the Card Shower that Jennifer Mcguire is hosting on her blog. I am big fan of Jennifer’s videos and all the fabulous things she makes and shares and I absolutely loved the idea of Share Handmade Kindness Campaign that she hosted last month. Unfortunately I couldn’t participate then but I thought I’d at least make time to send out cards for these kids. The cards are for a couple of kids who are battling cancer and I think it is such a great idea to shower them with cute cards and put a smile on their face.

I wanted to give a shout out to Tejal for sending me these new watercolours which are similar to the peerless watercolours that have been doing the round in the blog world. These are really inexpensive and easily available in India. Thank you so much Tejal for taking the effort and sending me these.

In the video I talk about these watercolours that come in the form of sheets and have the pigment on top which you can easi…

Mixed Media Altered Palette | Video Tutorial

I have a project that is very close to my heart to share today with you. I made this project as part of my Design Team assignment for Pretty Paper Studio but since it is something really personal to me, I thought I'd share here as well.

The wooden palette was one of my very first fancy art supply tool I bought around 15 years back and I wanted to preserve it as a Memento in my craft room. A reminder that Art was, is and will forever be a part of me!
Please check the full tutorial on how I created this art piece here or on YouTube

I am entering this into the November Challenge#24 - "The best part of me" at 13Arts Blog
I hope you enjoy watching the tutorial and like this little project of mine.

Happy Birthday Card | Video Tutorial

Hello !

I finally found some time to play with my Altenew stamps. I totally love them because they go so well with my style of clean and simple card making and they have some really gorgeous floral stamps that I can never get bored with :)

Here's the card for today! I picked up the colors from Altenew September Challenge - gold, cream, pink and grey and had a great time watercoloring this card.

I am using the Altenew stamps Garden Grow and Persian Motifs and Distress inks to watercolor.

I am also participating in Altenew's super fun video challenge, Lulupu Challenge#54 - Embossing Magic and Virginia's View Challenge#19 - All things colored
The attempt to color was largely inspired by Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
Don't forget to let me know if you liked the card and the video :)
Happy Day to you!

Baby Boy Album | Prince theme!

So I did this lovely and big (12"X12") Baby Boy album on commission and loved it because it was a little different than all the others that I have made in the past. I am generally not very comfortable with glitter and shine on my projects but since it was requested for this album, I had to come out of my comfort zone and play around and I loved it :)

I also did a mixed media MDF box to keep the album in. All gold and glittery!

I love all that bling!  Entering this for Lulupu's Challenge 53 - Sparkle and Shine!

I'm Owlways here for you!

I have been missing out on trying out my new supplies and playing along some lovely challenges. So I finally took time out and played with my lovely little Reverse Confetti Stamp. I love that big owl and had a great time coloring it.
I loved the September sketch at the Reverse Confetti Blog and wanted to incorporate it in one layer. So I stamped my owl, colored it in with my new Chameleon pen. I was quite intrigued by them so just bought one to try out. I am still experimenting and once I am ready I will share about them with you :)

And here's my cute little owl perching on the terrace :)

Cards for a cause: Clean & Simple!

Sorry for not being around here! But my Facebook page is quite active and you might want to follow me there as well so you don't miss out :)

So there's is this lovely group on Facebook started by some wonderful people and managed by Tejal called "Cards For A Cause" which aims at sending some sunshine into the lives of people who really need it and might appreciate a little note or a handmade card.

So I made these simple pretty cards for Cancer patients in India. I hope they bring a smile on the faces and give them hope during the tough times.

I used the Altenew Persian Motifs stamp set and colored the images using Spectrum Noir Markers. The font is handwritten in Hindi (Devanagari) as the people these cards will be sent to speak hindi as their first language and have little or no understanding of english.

The sentiment roughly translates to "Hope keeps the world going".

Scooting by !

Hello August (already!!)

I don't know about you but I have been missing participating in challenges especially card challenges. So I decided to surf around blogs a little and find something that excites me. I found two and made a card :)

First is the Paper Smooches Sparks Weekly Challenge because I have had my Spiffy Scooters stamp(which I love) lying around and I hadn't played with it. Since the challenge theme this week is anything goes, I thought it was a perfect time to play with it.

Another one is the new Pinterest Inspired Challenge! It definitely makes sense since I am on Pinterest almost half of the day (*grin*) and of course they have this amazing picture for inspiration. Who wouldn't fall in love??
So I picked those gorgeous colors and the lovely scooter stamp and created this.

Those Lawn Fawn papers and cloud dies are super fun and add so much to this card! Had a great time making it :)

Thank you for scooting by here :D
