Shadow Box !

This is my most favorite project till date. Something I didn't know how to do well and yet didn't gave up in between. If you follow me on Facebook, you must have seen it already but I am sharing it again here for my blog friends :)

It's a 12X12 vintage themed Shadow box filled with quilled flowers and leaves. I am no expert and this was probably my second or third attempt at quilling but I am loving it.

I had to make over 1500 coils of quilling strips to complete this project and it was so worth it.

This went to a friend's sister as a wedding gift :)

And since it looks like autumn with leaves turned all yellow, I am entering this for challenge#13 at For the love of crafting - Season's Stories.

Thank you for stopping by today!

How I store my layouts!

This is just a quick post with a quick video answering one of the most frequently asked question - How do  you store your layouts?

P.S. Video isn't the best and has a lot of background noise due to construction going on in the neighborhood. Please bear with me :)

And for those who aren't video fans, here is how I do it.

I use this cloth bound 12X12 D-ring album from American Crafts to store all my layouts. I am using this brown color one to hold my daughter's first year layouts and I have similar ones to hold my marriage, honeymoon and other pictures.

I have found these albums to be a great investment and they also act as a motivator for me to make more layouts :D
There are lots of designs and patterns available in these but I like the plain ones for the endless possibility  of decorating them. How about a little decoupaging with mod podge?

An album comes with 10 page protectors which can easily hold 20 layouts. The best part is that you can purchase the page protectors separately and add around 30-40 more in one album which means around 80-90 layouts in an album which is quite a lot :)

Page protectors come in packs of 10 like this and are top loading i.e. the layouts will go inside from the top. These page protectors also have ample space to accommodate layouts with dimensions.

It is as simple as that. So for those who are just starting with scrapbooking or are struggling with storing the layouts safely, this post is for them. These albums are real good buys, something you won't regret investing in :)

Have a good Sunday my friends !

You are one is a million!

This post title is meant for each of the amazing women who manage to do so much every single day! You indeed are one in a million! Happy Women's Day!

I though today would be a perfect day to share a layout I made for my daughters scrapbook. She is my little princess, one in a million and I hope she turns out to be an amazing person when she grows up!

I did a lot of die cutting for this layout. I love the colors and how pretty it turned out at the end :)

Have a great day!

Lulupu Challenge#10 ~ Birthday Special Blog Hop Day 2

Hello Everyone! turns 1 this month and we are all happy and celebrating!

I joined the Lulupu team 4 months back and it has been an amazing ride since. I have had the chance to work with some amazing people and share my work with you all. In the process of creating and sharing, I have grown and learned so much. I wish Lulupu a lot of success in the coming years!
A very happy birhday Lulupu!

March will be going to be fun at Lulupu - The Craft Lounge! There will be many giveaways and tonnes of fun so do ensure you follow Lulupu all around FB, Twitter, Pinterest and Youtube! To kick start the celebration we have a Lulupu Design Team Blog Hop along with the monthly challenge. So if you have landed at this post just now, you can start HERE and join us in this fun filled week !

So here I am sharing my project for Lulupu Challenge #10 - Let's Celebrate.

As the challenge suggests, we were to take inspiration from a fellow Design Team member and create a project that celebrates.... well... just about anything. My inspiration was Juhi Khanna's Pinwheel card.

I loved the simplicity of this card, the soothing effect and ofcourse the pinwheel. Believe it or not, but I haven't made a pinwheel before and this was my perfect chance.
And since the theme this month is celebration, I thought a invitation and a matching favor bag would be perfect :)

The base card is from the American Craft Baby Scrapbook Kit. I used the super gorgeous MME papers from the On the bright side 6X6 Paper Pad for layering and also making the pinwheels :)

I couple of toothpicks, silver brads and tiny ribbon bows make perfect pinwheels :)
The sentiment is built using the Paper Smooches Alphadot Stamp set. I love the fun font :)

I filled up this sweet cone favor with some yummy buttons (those are the real treats for us crafty people, aren't they?) :)

And there you have it, my inspired project with the celebration theme.

Continue the Lulupu Design Team Blog Hop with the Juhi Khanna tomorrow on 4th March. Also here is the list to help you track the blog hop ending on 9th March.
