Crawling - A Layout!

Even when my daughter will turn one in less than 15 days, I am nowhere close to completing my baby's first year scrapbook. But yes I am taking one step at a time and trying to do it by the end of this year (I have too many great photos of her to scrap and so little time :)).

I did manage to squeeze time to make this layout last week when I decided to work on my Craftslane product showcase for this week. Only because I had the perfect photo, perfect papers and perfect embellishments to put it together and the June sketch at C'est Magnifique was perfect for this layout too. I also wanted to show you that Craftslane products work equally well across different projects :)

By the way, C'est Magnifique also has an awesome Bits & Pieces giveaway open right now. It's super easy to enter and lot of yummies to be won. Just saying :)

And here is my layout,

This fabulous base sheet is from the Kaisercraft paper from the English Rose Collection called Pearl available at Craftslane store.

The beautiful tissue flower is handmade and what actually makes it beautiful is the MDF snowflakes that works perfectly as a flower center. I also used a few different die cuts, a tiny bit of stamping and few bits of rhinestones too.

And here is my favorite part of the whole layout, those gorgeous MDF alphabets. Just love how they look on the layout. There are really great MDF embellishments available at Craftslane Store.

And I couldn't resist the temptation of adding a rustic twine bow on the top.

What do ya think guys? Am I getting any better at layouts?  :)
I hope so because I really like this one and would love to know what you think.

Have you shopped at Craftslane yet?

Diwali Wishes

Hello people!! The weekend is so near that it makes me happy already :D Finally I started on my Diwali cards for this year. I know I am terribly late but I am trying to make it up. For my readers who aren't aware of the Diwali festival, Diwali is known as the festival of lights and one of the biggest festivals in India signifying the victory of good over evil. This year we are celebrating Diwali on 5 November. We celebrate by decorating our houses, lighting candle, fireworks, lots of good food, and lots and lots of sweets (I love this part :D)

Okay now enough of blabbering, here is a card a made for the Moxie Fab World Challenge - Perfectly Placed Pleats  and Speedy the Cat's Friend's Challenge - Stitching

Look how the paper pleats make for the cutest candles. Doesn't that stitched sentiment look pretty too?

After I made one and liked it, I went crazy experimenting with colors, size, and various different things :D
Here is another variations I came up with.

10 things I love about you..

...thats what I told my DH yesterday as it was our engagement anniversary. One year back on 16th of May, we got engaged and I wanted to gift him something special and different and that is when I stumbled upon Monicka Wright's blog and decided to case her wonderful note card. I took the colors from Smidapaper May Color Challenge, polka dot theme from Lawnscaping Challenge. And I am also playing along Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge#56 - Get Sticky.

Supplies: papers: Echo Park Papers(For the Record);embellishment: Element stickers from Echo Park Springtime collection, Little Girl, For the Record, Walk in the Park, Twine from the twinery(charcoal)
I used one of my favorite Echo Park collection "For the Record" for this card and love the way it turned out. Added a little hand-stitching along the edges, embellished each tag with lot of elementary stickers from different Echo Park Collection and had the most fun writing those 10 things about DH. It made me fell so ble…

A year in review 2016 + Giveaway!

Hello,

As we step into the new year, I wanted to take a moment and reflect upon this past year which has been mostly amazing for me. 2016 was tremendous for me in terms of both professional and personal life. Yes, there were moments and events that I would not never like to experience again but today I just wanted to focus on the good and happy.

So today I am going to highlight my favourite projects and moments throughout this year. I also have a giveaway for you guys as a thank you for always being so supportive and appreciative. You always motivate me to do better and more.

I started year 2016 with this close-to-my-heart watercolor piece. This artwork is special because this was the first of the many! I fell in love with using stamps to build watercolor scenes and kept making them throughout the year.

This photo of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco has so many lovely memories from our big family vacation this year. It was fun converting it into a watercolor piece. Also this …
