Customer Appreciation + RAKs!

** I was featured on Divya's blog Jewel of Sayuri yesterday. I would love for you to check it out and leave your feedback.

So as you know, I have taken up and completed a lot of orders in the past 6 months and I wanted to share a little feedback I got from my clients. I was so overwhelmed and happy with all the appreciation that came my way that I wanted to share it with my virtual family that is all you guys :)

Here are just a few that I collected from the recent emails :)

Isn't it awesome when people appreciate you for something you do and are passionate about. This is one of the most important reasons that I love this hobby :)

And if this wasn't all, a few of my lovely customers sent me these pretties

Khushboo sent me this lovely card for my birthday :)

One of my customers sent me this beautiful handmade origami box that contained those cute earrings

And this cute little necklace from another lovely client :)

Well there it is! Thank you so much for all the love, support and appreciation. I feel truly blessed!

Will see you around soon!

Prickley Pear Design Team Monday!

Happy Monday!! Hope you all had a great start to the week. Since its Monday, it's time for another Prickley Pear Monday card :)

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!;  stamps: Prickley Pear( Clearly Beautiful Flowers Stamps Set ); Dies: Cheery Lyn(Fanciful flourish) inks: Momento (Tuxedo Black), Distress Ink(Walnut stain); embellishment:  Pie Lane Self Adhesive Crystals; coloring medium: Faber Castell Markers
So as I said HERE, I hate throwing away pretty (and expensive) paper and my heart breaks with the amount of paper that is wasted  with die cutting. So I always make it a point to die cut keeping in mind that I can use both the negative and the positive of die cuts :)

I inked the edges of the negative die-cut panel very lightly with walnut stain distress ink to give it more definition and then adorned the beautiful flourish with some gorgeous flowers from the Clearly Beautiful Flowers Stamps Set and to top it off added the various different self adhesive crystals from Pie Lane(I love that they have so many different shapes and colors in those pretty crystals :)) As an after thought I also did a little faux stitching along the edge.

It looked like an all occasion card so I left it without sentiment. I can now save it in my stash and pull it out for the right occasion :)

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the PPRS team created this week!

Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting!

Cardboard Mini Albums on order!

So here is the first project from the lot that I shared as "work in progress" in a recent post. I completed the order yesterday and now since its on its way to the client, I can share the project in its complete glory :)

I made 5 Minis 4"X6" in size which makes for an ideal gift or use it to document your own little special events and memories.

And here are the inside pages of one of the albums (Albums are identical in structure, only the pattern papers and embellishments vary)

Lots of tags, pretty papers and embellishments :)

A pocket insert for photo or journaling!

Lots of space for journaling and photos !

And the back cover :)

These are so perfect for saving those 2X3 photos and documenting the special mini events in our lives.  I had such a blast making these as they are not only cute, they are also recycled(The card backing came from packaging cartons :))

I actually loved them so much that I decided to make one for myself and I am documenting the specials things we(me+DH) did every month in 2012. Wouldn't it be cool to have one such mini every year and then look back on them later :)

Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting today!

Prickley Pear Design Team Monday!

Happy Monday!! Hope you all had a great start to the week. Since its Monday, it's time for another Prickley Pear Monday card :)

And for this one, I used the colors at Play Date Cafe Color challenge 132 - Color Splash (Black White Mustard) and I am also entering this for Spatter Technique Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!;  stamps: Prickley Pear(  Hibiscus 2 Clear Stamps Set, Hibiscus Flower and Leaf Die); inks: Momento (Tuxedo Black); embellishment:  Hero Arts Hues Self Adhesive Pearls; coloring medium:water colors

I used my water colors and paint brush to make the splatters on watercolor paper, added a separate panel left aligned with a little lace tucked behind. The flower petals have tiny 3D adhesive dots for dimension. And as a last touch I added a few pearls. Loved how it turned out!
Hope you like this little creation! Don't forget to visit the PPRS blog for more design team inspiration.

Prickley Pear Design Team Monday!

Happy Monday!! Hope you all had a great start to the week. Since its Monday, it's time for another Prickley Pear Monday card :)

And I actually did this one to send to my Mom for mother's day :) Since she stays quite far from my place and I get to meet her just once or twice a year, I miss her a lot. So I thought I will send her a thinking of you card this time around.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!;  stamps: Prickley Pear(  Mini Birds Clear Stamps Set.); inks:Jenni Bowlin (brown sugar); embellishment:  Self Adhesive Crystals; coloring medium: Faber castell markers
I kept it one layer so that it would be easier to mail out. I simply stamped the images with brown sugar ink on to the cardstock. Then I paper pieced the bird and the cage and added them on top of the stamped image. I added a bit of color using markers and then scattered a few gems :)

I hope my mom likes it :)

Don't forget to check out the PPRS blog for some amazing inspiration!
Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting today!

Guest Designing for Imaginations!

Today I created a card for Imaginations Store as a Guest Design Team member. I have some really pretty DCWV papers with floral patterns from the store at hand right now which I love. So I created a simple card using the sketch at Skipping Stone Designs#126 and the colors from the Unity Monthly Challenge - green, pink  & off-white.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!;  stamps: Ippity(Fall for you); inks:Jenni Bowlin (brown sugar), Distress Inks(walnut stain); Pattern Papers: DCWV (Imaginations Store); embellishments: Spring Doilies(Shabby Chic Tags & More), Pink Gems; tools: 1" circle punch, fiskars scallop edge punch

Nothing really to explain about the card. I just layered some pretty papers together, stamped and colored in the image and added the embellishments :)

Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting!

Birthday Favor Bag Contents - Day#5

So I am finally down to the last item that I put in the favor bags order (I hope all these posts weren't boring and stretched all this time :)). I had to hold this project till the end as I had used some soon to be released PPRS stamps on these and I didn't want to spoil the fun of the PPRS Release Party which will happen in the span of 3 days(11-13 May) later. Since I have the project posted as a sneak peak on the PPRS blog today, I thought I will share it here too.

I made 3 birthday reminder books to be put into the girl's(aged 9, 12, 15) favor bag. Do you remember the first one I made?

I improvised on the previous book that I had made this time(but I forgot to take pictures of the insides...silly me :( ). All the girls had a specific color preference and of course I had to make them pretty and girly but also keep up with the "Ball" theme of the party. Quick Solution - add a ball themed charm :)

Charms and me?? NOPE. Tejal to the rescue :D
She was pretty busy that time but still jumped in to help me out and I love those charms she made. She even color coordinated them for me. How awesome!  Thanks a ton sweetie!!

So there you have it! All the items of the favor bags finally revealed :)
If you have any questions or would like to place an order for anything you see and like on my blog or if you have any other custom order request, please feel free to e-mail me at and I will happy to help.

I hope you like it! Thanks for visiting and being so appreciative of my work always.

Recycled Flowers + Giveaway Winner!

Hello people! Sorry for the delay in announcing the giveaway winner but these days my energy levels are completely sapped and all I wanna do is lie down. Hopefully I'll feel better soon :)

So on to the giveaway winner.  Thank you for all your kind comments and support and encouragement. I am so lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful group of people.

I picked the winner randomly from all the comments using and the giveaway goes to

Kalindi (Crafting Aberrigines)

Congratulations! Please e-mail me at with your postal address and I will get the stuff out to you as soon as possible.

Today I have a little recycled project to share with you. Do you remember how I recycled the egg trays sometime back. I had some left overs from that project which I put to use here.

I used a cute little empty olive oil bottle and turned it into a vase holding these flowers made of egg cartons. The big stitched buttons are from Pie Lane. You can do so many variations with these. What I have done is very basic. You could add beads to the wire, Paint some design on the flowers, cover the wire with green fabric/washi tape, add some fabric/paper leaves. So many possibilities.

I am entering this for Sonia's Recycling challenge at Yvonne's blog.

Thanks for visiting! Hope to see you guys soon again!
