Sweet Baby Journal!

I finally managed to whip up a journal to record everyday moments of my 3 month old daughter "Aadya". This has been on my mind for a while now.

Although I have been trying hard to record every little moment with my little one in my memory, things have already started to slip off my mind. The fact is that I'm just so tired handling her most of the time , I can hardly focus on keeping everything in my memory and that is where the idea of maintaining a journal comes in.

I have 12 sections for each month of my baby's first year in this jounal which I labelled using tabs. Lots of gorgeous Echo Park - For the Record(Documented) Collection papers, Fabriano cardstock, some gorgeous handmade sheets from Jaipur(I have been saving these for quite some time now) and 12 envelopes(one for each month) to hold more pictures or other memorabilia.

My plan is to jot down anything and everything that I would want to remember and look back later. Since I get my photos printed online, I plan on getting them printed monthly and adding them to the album at the end of each month. That way I see myself to be more organized :)

NOTE: Since my photos for the past months haven't arrived yet, I will update this post with a couple of inside pages when I have completed them. I just want to show you how well this idea works *wink*

I used the color scheme from For the love of crafting Challenge#10 - color bingo (I chose row 2 - blue, green and neutral) and the shabby chic style for Colleen's Challenge at Yvonne's blog with pearls and lace.
I also kept in mind The ItsyBitsy Big B Challenge(I used beads, bling and bow) which I had now wanted to play along with for quite some time.

I think this would be a great gift for a new mom or mom-to-be and a wonderful gift for baby showers :)

Hope you liked it!
Thanks for visiting today!

  6. I applaud you for making a book to record those special, everyday moments you and your baby are sharing, Ujjwal. It's so difficult to remember them all...you think you always will, but boy do those thoughts evaporate like the years.

Thank you ever so much for playing along in my challenge at Do More With Less!

  8. Ujjwal - Making baby memory books is so close to my heart. When I was expecting my son, I made one for him. It was 3.5 years ago and I didn't do anything too fancy. But it was bright and colorful. Then when I was expecting my daughter, in the last 2 weeks before I delivered I made one for her. I really wanted a little girl so I made it all girly and I was sooooo happy she turned out to be a she. Of course after I popped, I had absolutely no time to work on them and my daughters book is still a work in progress. Don't know how you were able to put this beautiful creation together with a wee little babe in your life. Aadya will just love your creation as she grows up and I am so inspired. I think I'm going to pinch those tabs from you. Such a great way to get to the section you want. Superb stuff, really really love it.
Thanks so much for playing along the ItsyBitsy Big B Challenge. We're thrilled to have your entry

Diwali Wishes

Hello people!! The weekend is so near that it makes me happy already :D Finally I started on my Diwali cards for this year. I know I am terribly late but I am trying to make it up. For my readers who aren't aware of the Diwali festival, Diwali is known as the festival of lights and one of the biggest festivals in India signifying the victory of good over evil. This year we are celebrating Diwali on 5 November. We celebrate by decorating our houses, lighting candle, fireworks, lots of good food, and lots and lots of sweets (I love this part :D)

Okay now enough of blabbering, here is a card a made for the Moxie Fab World Challenge - Perfectly Placed Pleats  and Speedy the Cat's Friend's Challenge - Stitching

Look how the paper pleats make for the cutest candles. Doesn't that stitched sentiment look pretty too?

After I made one and liked it, I went crazy experimenting with colors, size, and various different things :D
Here is another variations I came up with.

Emma Lou’s Birthday Blog Hop!

Hello,

This is a very special post for a very special person! Emma Lou is the creative director at Heartfelt Creations and I feel so happy to have worked with her in the past and to know her a little bit better. She is an amazing person, very talented and super sweet. And today we have got together to celebrate her special day through a blog hop.

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday and a fabulous year ahead! I hope you have a great day with your family and friends!

Here's the card I created for her. I heat embossed the background stamp on vellum and then colored on the backside using Chameleon Pens. A simple vellum card that I hope she will like :)

Also, the Heartfelt Creations team is super sweet and offering a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations for hopping along and leaving a comment on participating blogs. The hop starts at 8 am EST on Thursday 11th August 2016 and closes on Tuesday 16th August at midnight. So hop along for a chance to win.

Birthday Explosion Box!

Here is something that I am very proud of. This was my first attempt at a 3D paper cake and I adore how it turned out. More loved because I am not really a pink girl and this explosion is all pink and I still love it :)

Don't ya love that cake? By the way, I recycled the "Happy Birthday" from an actual birthday cake :D
I am entering this for the Lessology Challenge#29 - Birthday Party Lulupu Challenge#17 - Fancy Me (I fancy special fold cards and I fancy trying out new things) Itsy Bitsy Challenge - Pretty with Pink (Pink, pearls, pattern papers, posy, paper clips, photographs)
Hope you fellas like it !
