Prickley Pear Design Team Monday!

** I have a giveaway running HERE. Its ends tomorrow!

Its Monday and time for another PPRS inspiration post! Today, I have some fun mini cards to show you that I did from all the scraps collecting at my desk. I am not only a paper lover but a complete miser when it comes to paper, I hate throwing away pretty paper :)

So I had to do something with all the negatives of die cuts and card stock strips lying around from my previous projects. And here is what I did. I created some ultra cute mini cards (that can very well be used as gift tags) to use them for my orders. I like to add a little handmade notecard or tag to all my orders and that is when these will come in handy.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!;  stamps: Prickley Pear(Flowers Clear Stamps Set, Mini Butterflies Clear Stamps set and Mini Butterflies Die.); inks:Jenni Bowlin (brown sugar); embellishment:  Pie Lane Self Adhesive Crystals; coloring medium: Faber castell markers
I used the left over negatives…

Birthday Favor Bag Contents - Day#4

Hey ya, I am back today continuing with the contents of the birthday favor bag contents. I have already shared the  common goodies that went into each bag and so now its time I share the exclusive custom items I did for each kid.

First is the DIY Scrapbook for 2 kids in the age group 2.5 and 3 years. Its something they can do with their moms and have fun with the pictures and spend quality time together.

Here is the cover done using Studio Calico Papers and Echo Park Playground Collection Stickers

And here are a few inside pages,

Cupcake image is an Ippity stamp

I used some fun Paper Smooches stamp for the tags and the "My Favorite" sentiment has also been created using Paper Smooches Alphadot stamp set. Love the font :)
And thats the last page :)
This 10 page Scrapbook was a lot of effort because I wanted it to be fun but still have lots of empty space for the kids & their moms to play around with.

The kids and their parents loved it at the party. What do you think ab…

Another album on order + Giveaway!

Hello people, today I am interrupting the Favor Bag Content Series post to share an album I made on order recently. I based the cover on the Pretty Paper Studio Layout Sketch Challenge#3 and I did add the title of the album before I shipped it but I forgot to take the picture of the final thing :D

I am also playing along the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge#166 - Bingo. I chose the second row - pink, ribbon and die cut.

The inside pages are left blank as the client wanted to decorate/embellish them herself! I just made the skeleton for the album :D
I used a lot of different papers and embellishments from Echo Park collections (Your Truly, For the Record, Happy Days, etc).

I hope you like it! And do play along the Challenge#3 at PPS, its fun :)

And now for the giveaway, well I just saw that my last post was my 300th post on this blog. Its a milestone and thought celebration…

Birthday Favor Bag Contents - Day#3

Next up is the third common thing that went into the Favor Bags and that is a candy pack. After all whats a birthday party without candies...right??

So in went these pillow candy bags filled with some yum chocolates, mint and sweet treats.

I used Studio Calico papers, Ippity Stamp (Sucks to get old), Faber Castell Markers and some glitter glue to jazz up those stamped candy sticks :D

Linking this to the Friends With Flair Linky Party!

Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting!

Over at Pie Lane Blog!

Just a quick note to let you know that I have a fun new post and tutorial..ooohhh...a video tutorial up on the Pie Lane blog. Here is a sneak peek of what you will see there.

Hope to see you there and don't forget to leave your precious comments and feedback :)

Birthday Favor Bag Contents - Day#2

So the next common item that went into the favor bag was pens/pencils and ofcourse they had to have a handmade feel. My client didn't want the plain store bought ones. And can you imagine, this became the most challenging tasks of all. I was clueless as to what to do :D

I tried a couple of things (pattern paper, masking tape, etc) which didn't work out for me before I had my light bulb moment in the middle of the night :)

And so here's what I did. I took these boring black and grey pencils,

And turned them into these bright and cheerful ones with a felt topper to keep their tips cozy :D

And here are my cute little felt toppers. They just make me happy :D

I wrapped the pencils with some fun kids print tape that I received as part of my birthday present from Tejal last year. All the felt toppers are hand-stitched :)

This is one of my favorite items in the favor bags! Will be back again soon with the next one!

See ya soon!

Birthday Favor Bag Contents - Day#1

Continuing with the birthday favor bag contents, I decided to show off the common goodies in each bag first.

First up are the keyrings that I got made for the kids. The theme of this party was "ball" because the birthday boy loves playing with ball these days :D

Since I had never tried jewellery making before and with the amount of work I had to do for this order, I decided to delegate this task to a very talented Jewellery designer, Divya N. She has a blog called Jewels of Sayuri  where she displays her extra-ordinary art of jewellery designing. I was so glad that she chipped in and helped me out on this one.

To go with the ball theme, we decided on using soccer/foot ball on the key rings and here is what she came up with.

One side has the soccer/foot ball image and the other side has the initial of each kid. Aren't these just lovely?

I hope you like them and do visit Divya's blog Jewels of Sayuri for some great Jewellery inspiration and dont forget to let her know…

Birthday Favor bags on order!

So I have been telling you this a lot lately, that I have been busy(actually very busy) and today is the day(since the order has been shipped) I will share where and why :D

A month back I got an order to make 1st birthday party favors for 9 kids with different age groups. I had to make them unique, useful and not to mention pretty (thats what we do...right??)

Kids age group was from 2.5 years to 15 years and it was a challenge to actually think of things to put in the favor bags keeping in mind their age and their likes and dislikes. So after long discussions with the client and helpful inputs, here are some of the things we came up with.

Mini Scrapbooks for kids of age 2.5 yrs and 3 yrs
Story Book for a kid with age 6 yrs (already posted on blog, check it out HERE)
Birthday Reminder Books for girls aged 9, 12 and 15
and we couldn't really think of something for boys in the age group 12 and 14, so we decided on some store bought video games, etc :D

Other than one unique gift in …
