Happy Valentines Day!

Wish you all a day filled with love and lots of special moments with your special someone and/or your loved ones! Wish you a very Happy Valentine's Day!

I have had a very busy week with my parents visiting me here in Pune. I have been traveling, cooking, eating, shopping and catching up on all the gossip :) .Its so much fun to have your family around. I wish it happened often.

But all this fun has also left me sleep deprived and tired. So today, when everyone went on a road trip to Shirdi, I decided to stay back and take a little break and of course catch up on my blog and e-mails.

And since its a special day today, I thought I'd share the final pictures of the album(and one of my all time favorite) which I made on order and of which I shared a sneak peak sometime back.

The Album Cover

One of my favorite page with pull out tags.

Did you notice the little heart confetti window? {love}

Another sweet page with an envelop pocket and pull out tag.

Another one of my most favorite page. Love the details on this one.

Here is the detailed shot. In love with hand stitching :)

More pockets and pull out tags.

Another gorgeous page. In love with the banner :)

A detailed shot of the banner!

The end with  "Life is good" :)

I have used a lot of different papers for this album and I am in love with the outcome. I hope the recipient likes it as much as I do.

I had to say no to a couple of last minute orders due to lack of time and  because I was over worked. I need at least 15 days to finish a detailed project like this one. I was sad to say no and decline the orders but I had to do what was right. Please place your orders at least 15 days in advance to make sure they are delivered on time.

Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting!

10 things I love about you..

...thats what I told my DH yesterday as it was our engagement anniversary. One year back on 16th of May, we got engaged and I wanted to gift him something special and different and that is when I stumbled upon Monicka Wright's blog and decided to case her wonderful note card. I took the colors from Smidapaper May Color Challenge, polka dot theme from Lawnscaping Challenge. And I am also playing along Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge#56 - Get Sticky.

Supplies: papers: Echo Park Papers(For the Record);embellishment: Element stickers from Echo Park Springtime collection, Little Girl, For the Record, Walk in the Park, Twine from the twinery(charcoal)
I used one of my favorite Echo Park collection "For the Record" for this card and love the way it turned out. Added a little hand-stitching along the edges, embellished each tag with lot of elementary stickers from different Echo Park Collection and had the most fun writing those 10 things about DH. It made me fell so ble…

Diwali Wishes

Hello people!! The weekend is so near that it makes me happy already :D Finally I started on my Diwali cards for this year. I know I am terribly late but I am trying to make it up. For my readers who aren't aware of the Diwali festival, Diwali is known as the festival of lights and one of the biggest festivals in India signifying the victory of good over evil. This year we are celebrating Diwali on 5 November. We celebrate by decorating our houses, lighting candle, fireworks, lots of good food, and lots and lots of sweets (I love this part :D)

Okay now enough of blabbering, here is a card a made for the Moxie Fab World Challenge - Perfectly Placed Pleats  and Speedy the Cat's Friend's Challenge - Stitching

Look how the paper pleats make for the cutest candles. Doesn't that stitched sentiment look pretty too?

After I made one and liked it, I went crazy experimenting with colors, size, and various different things :D
Here is another variations I came up with.

I know I w…

Gond Painting !!

Wishing you all a very happy holi !! Its a colorful spring festival celebrated here in India and I wish that it brings lots of happiness and good things in life for all of you!

And on this colorful occasion, I thought I'd share something different and something close to my heart with you all. I have been crafting right from when I was a little kid and I have always loved to explore different forms of art and craft one of which being the traditional folk art of India.

India has a very rich culture when it comes to art and off late I have been hooked to giving all different forms of folk art a try. After I tried my hands at Madhubani last year which is a folk art from the state of Bihar, I am now hooked to another tribal art form called Gond from the states of Central India (Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh)

I love the way these Gond Paintings look. They are simple and yet so detailed. Its all about filling in the everyday life motifs with dots, dashes and lines.
