Prickley Pear Design Team Monday!

Happy Monday people! It's Monday and that means its time for some Prickley Pear inspiration. The Prickley Pear store has some great new Valentine's day stamps that you wouldn't want to miss out. Do check the store!

I am on to my Valentine's day card and when I saw Virginia's Challenge at Lily Pad Cards, I knew what I wanted to do :)

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!;  stamps: Prickley Pear(Heart Key Crown Clear Stamps Set); inks:Jenni Bowlin (Chewing gum, cough syrup), Distress Inks(tumbled glass), Momento(dandelion), Unity Co. (French Lilac);embellishment:  Twine from The twinery, Pie lane Star Crystals
I white embossed some of the hearts and simply stamped the other ones to create a variety of hearts to work with. Then I used matching color twines to hang them from the negative of a die-cut. I love how it turned out.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the PPRS team created for this week.

Hope you like it!Thanks for visiting!

A little something for Valentine's Day!

I know I haven't been sharing much on the blog lately, but I have been crafting in the background and today I thought I'd share a little peak of something I am working on for the Valentine's Day. It's a mini-album and it is yet not complete. I am still working on the inside pages and will share them in another post.

Today I am sharing the cover of the album as I based it on the sketch from the last Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge#83. It has been one of my all time favorite place to pick up a challenge to play along with. And although I am sad that its the last of their fabulous challenges, I think it's for the best for Jenny. Jenny, I really admire your work and I wish you good health and plenty of family time this year :)

I actually took the scraps left from the last album I worked on and went from there. Its all about some pretty Studio Calico & Echo Park Papers and stickers along with American Crafts chipboard thickers and some up-cylced fruit packa…

First order of this year....

..is finally out in the mail today! Here is a little peek of 100 bookmarks made over a span of 4 days straight (of course with lot of help from hubby dearest :D )

All packed up and ready to go :) (They were a delight to watch and I couldn't believe I actually made 100 in 4 days :D)
I have a couple of more orders to go out and then hopefully I will have time start with the Valentine stuff.
See you later again!

Bookmark - 2!

** This is my second post for the day! Please scroll down to see the previous post.

So here is the second design of the bookmarks in the process. I kept this one absolutely simple since I have to mass produce them.

I loved the freshness of this color combination! Its all just about simple stamping and scallop punch :)
I am a little short on time so  I am skipping the supply list. If you have any questions about the supplies I used here, please feel free to drop me a comment.

This is also my entry for the Flourishes Noon Time Challenge - Part 2.

Will see you soon again! Stay tuned!

Bookmarks!

Hey ya everybody! Hope you are all well and busy crafting in the new year, I am sure as hell busy crafting my days away! I am working furiously to complete a few orders and complete all my crafty commitments :)

Right now, I am working on bookmarks and I just thought I would share one of the designs today here. It isn't anything new that I have tried. I have already used this design and technique on some of my previous cards. Due to a very tiny timeline given to complete these bookmarks, I thought its better to stick with what I know well.

Here is the front of the bookmarks, I have used my most trusted and loved technique of heat embossing.

And the back of the bookmarks look like this

I wanted to leave a little blank space for the client to sign them personally, so I didn't emboss the whole of the back side. And as you can see I didn't really care about blending the distress inks, I love the effect those strokes and splotches leave.

I am entering this for Flourishes Noon T…

Prickley Pear Design Team Monday!

It's Monday and that means its time for some Prickley Pear inspiration. The Prickley Pear store and design team are back in action after taking a couple of weeks off for the holidays and there are some fabulous events and releases lined up. Stay Tuned!

For my card today, I kept it very simple and let the stamps shine.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!;  stamps: Prickley Pear(Spring Scalloped Circles Clear Stamps Set); inks:Momento (Tuxedo black), Distress Inks(Walnut Stain)
There's nothing much to say about this simple card. I have paper pieced the vases using colored card stock and have used markers to color in a few parts of the image. I am playing along the ICRC14 - Anything Goes + CASand Young Crafters Unite Challenge#5 - Clean & Simple.

Please don't forget to visit the Prickley Pear blog to check out the inspiration from the entire team.
Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting!

Happy New Year! + Giveaway Winner!

Hello 2012! I know this post is a little late but never the less, wishing you all a very Happy New Year! May this year be more fun, happy and rewarding than the last one for all of you!

I had an eventful 2011 with lots of things changing around me and people I love and fortunately they were mostly good changes. So I am now ready to go through another year and see what it has in store for me :)

First things I wanna do in this new year is that I plan on getting back on track with my crafting which has been on a low since past couple of months. I bought and won a few new crafting stuff and I hope to put them to use. The first of those new things I got are the PTI stamps. I am in love the Harvest Berries set and the sunflowers stamp. They are just wonderful and I have so many ideas to play with going on in my mind.

For today, I just created a simple card with lots of stamping.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!;  stamps: PTI(Sunflower, Harvest Berries), PPRS(Victorian Ornam…
