A layout yet again :)

Hope you all had a great Christmas holiday with family and friends and hopefully you are gearing up to welcome the new year :)

I am on a layout frenzy right now. So addicted :)

2012 has been a very significant year in my life - lots of good things happened this year - furniture shopping, home renovation, DH got a promotion and we even invested a little bit(something that takes a back seat most of the time :)) but the best part has been the birth of my little angel, Aadya.

So, here's a layout capturing her 3 months. I simply love this picture of hers :)

Supplies: pattern paper: MME -Stella & Rose( Hattie "Remember" Roses Paper, Gertie Papers 6X6)! stamps: MME(Dolled up "Favorite" Stamps); inks: Hero Arts (Neon Pink), Jenni Bowlin(Chewing gum, Cough syrup); Embellishments: MME-Follow your heart "Be Happy"(Buttons, Rhinestones)

I used the sketch at MME December Challenge#2 Sketch and the theme at PPS December Challenge - 2012 A Review.

JOY !!

Merry Christmas to all you people out there! Have fun and enjoy the holiday season!

And I thought it would perfect to share a Christmas-y frame(and a felt ornament :)) I made as a gift for a dear friend.

The Joy sentiment is heat embossed with Red Tinsel Powder by Ranger's and it's all glittery! The poinsettia flower is from Pie Lane and the holly leaves are from PPRS stamp set, white heat embossed and colored with two shades of distress inks. I think it will be a great Home Decor piece this holiday season :)

The little felt ornament has a very delicate embroidery with silver thread. It's a pity I forget to click an individual picture of it :)

Have a great day!

Over at Lulupu blog!

Just a little reminder that my second post for Lulupu blog is up and I am sharing whatever little I know or do while making layouts. Here is a little sneak peak of what you will find there.

Go check it out and don't forget to let me know what you think :)

See ya!

Desktop Calender!

I have been waiting impatiently to share this with you, something I had wanted to do for a long time and finally I gathered the courage to do it.

I used to hand draw and water color when I was in school and that is something I used to love, something that took a back seat when I discovered stamping :D But I have been meaning to get back to it for a while as it is very therapeutic for me :)

And when I signed up for the Swap Central India's last swap - Calenders, I knew this was the opportunity I was waiting for. So I grabbed it with both hands and here is the result.

Please be kind, because I drew after years and these might not be perfect :)

And there you have it. An outcome of labor of love. Even though my fingers went numb with all the drawing in one go, I still had so much fun and the results were so gratifying.

I hope you like it too. Please let me what you think, it would mean a lot to me. Thank you for all your love and support!

Another quotation frame on order!

Didn't I tell you that my quotation frames sell out like hot products this year? :D

Here is another one I did on order. It's mostly a copy of the one I did before.

I love making these and I think they are such a cool thing to gift people this holiday season. What about you? Have you started sending out handmade gifts to your loved ones?

Happy Friday and have a fun weekend! I am looking forward to a party tonight :)

Adventures in Jewellery Making!!

If you have been reading my blog for the past few weeks, you must have noticed that I have shopped for a lot(like a LOT) of jewellery making supplies. The reason - I am fascinated by it and I wanted to give it a try and see if I can do anything beyond cutting paper..ha!

So I did give it a try and I am in love with it. Its just like therapy :)

Here is the very first, the first-est little charm I made.

And then I made one for my mum to put it on her hand bag and totally forgot to take the pictures.

After making two I was addicted, so I couldn't stop and made this

and this

And then the expert that I was after making 4 charms{insert sarcasm}, I tried making earrings (ahem!)

These were a gift for my sis-in-law :)

So there you have it, my adventures in jewellery making. I am just a beginner and no expert and I am still in the process of learning this art but it is always a lot of fun to try out different things.

So give jewellery making a try you haven't already and have fun!

And i…

Baby Album on order!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a good start to the week. I have a busy one ahead but I am dedicating this day today to show some blog love, to schedule some posts for you to read here and to visit the blogs I love to read :)

Here's a baby album I made on order a while ago (about a month and a half ago :)) and never got around sharing it here. So here it is today!

This album is inspired from the one I did before and you can find it here.

The birth stats

A page with double slider mechanism (I love adding interactive elements on my albums :))

Pocket pages to hold photo mats.

The flap opens to give you space to write the growth chart for that particular month.

Those balloons slide...just for fun :)

And that's the last page with an envelop to hold gift tags, notes or other memorabilia from the first birthday :)

It was a lot of hard work but I had so much fun making it. These albums are so pretty to look at and make a beautiful gift :)

Hope to see you soon again this week!
