h a p p y !

Here is a quick and a cute card to share with you all today. It is based on the sketch at Lucy's Lovely lines@ Lilypad cards.

I did the dry brushing technique again, the way I did for this card. I totally love the effect and texture this technique adds.

 Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!; stamps: Skipping Stones(Grunge); ink: Jenni Bowlin (Brown Sugar), colorbox pigment ink (white);  Embellishments: Maya Road(Olivia Alpha Chipboad);

I painted my alpha chipboard pieces with fun acrylic colors and adhered it to the background. I added a scrap piece of red ribbon to give it a pop of color.

Edited: Updated the closeup photograph, previous one was blurry. Thanks E.T. for the tip :)

Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting!

Few Random Acts of Kindness + a fabulous candy

I wanted to share a few card that I received for my first wedding anniversary from my sweet sweet blog friends. I feel awful for procrastinating this post for so long.

First up is a sweet criss-cross card from Khusboo, who made it a point to send it in time for my anniversary. Thank you so much girl! And she also sent me some beautiful buttons, which I was so excited about that I mixed them up with my existing stash as soon as I saw them and couldn't take a picture :)

Card picture taken from Khusboo's blog

Next up is Anita's beautiful easel card, the first one that I have received and its so fabulous. I got inspired and you might soon be seeing some easel action on my blog :)She also sent me a birthday card (my birthday was in May :D )

I love her coloring skills and all those felt flowers make me smile :)

Thank you so much once again for sending some love my way :) I really appreciate it!

Party Invites and Favors!

Hello friends! Hope you are well! My knee is recovering but very slow and I need to rest. Crafting has taken a back seat but I really wanted to enter the Hero Arts Contest this month and so here I am.

I went with the summer theme using bright colors and flowers and whipped up this set of party invites, favor bags and matching tag.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!; stamps: Hero Arts (Speckled Ornaments, three floral frames); ink: Momento (Dandelion), Jenni Bowlin(Brown Sugar);Sticker: SRM; Coloring Medium: Faber Castell Markers; flower embellishment from local store

I love the tone on tone stamping on this one in yellow, it looks gorgeous :) The center frame is mounted on foam dots for additional dimension and those pretty, tiny golden flower embellishments are a local find. I am also entering this set for Simon Says Stamp and show Anything Goes Challenge.

Sending Happy Thoughts!

Happy Friday people! Its my favorite day of the week and with an absolutely awesome weather here in Pune, I am all the more happy. The card I am sharing today is for all my dear blog friends, many of whom have been sick with cold or down with injuries (including me) for the past few days. I just wanted to send some happy thoughts to all of you (including me :D). I hope we all get better soon.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!; stamps: Flourishes (Kids Play); ink: Momento (Tuxedo Black);Sticker: SRM; Ribbon from local store

This card is inspired by one I saw in the current issue of PaperCraft Magazine and I knew I wanted to case it immediately. I took the inspiration from the FTTC#127, colors from the current PDCC#91 and Lynnda's Minimal Challenge at Yvonne's blog.

No techinques on this one, just a simple CAS card :)

Friends Forever!

Here is one of my favorite cards (I know I haven't been able to capture its beauty in the photograph, all thanks to the non-stop rain and gloomy weather). Anyhoo, I loved the technique of dry brushing on Make it Monday feature at PTI blog and immediately wanted to give it a try.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!; stamps: PTI(Friends 'till the end), Skipping Stones(Grunge), American Crafts; ink: Momento (Tuxedo Black), colorbox pigment ink (white);  Embellishments: White pearls(Itsy Bitsy); embossing: Ranger's (SeaFoam White); Pattern Paper: My Mind's Eye(Stella)

I am obsessed with my only PTI set Friends 'till the end (I guess you all know that by now :D). It's simply gorgeous and worth all the money spent on it. I loved the dreamy effect that the dry brushing technique created and the Grunge background from Skipping Stones set was a perfect addition. I have heat embossed the flower in white and then cute them out and layered for dimension.

And before I go, I want to give a shout out for Paper And Such Designs. They have recently started with clear stamps and have already been through one fabulous release. They are giving away 2 yet to be released sets on their blog and I am sure they are gonna be as fabulous as the last release. Click HERE to read about how to enter the giveaway.

There's no one like you, Friend!

Happy Monday!! How are you all? I know I have been MIA lately and haven't been posting as frequently as I did before. But I have lots of ideas brewing up in my mind while I sit and watch my knee heal and so I plan on making up for the lost time soon :D

I am sharing a CAS card for Wee Memories Scrappy Challenge#62 today featuring my favorite PTI stamp set (Friends 'till the end). This is also my entry for the Fanatical About Botanical Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and A Passion for Papertrey Challenge - Sweet, Sweet, Summertime
This card is also perfect for the CraftyJC Challenge#8 Friends are forever.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!; stamps: PTI(Friends 'till the end); ink: Momento (Tuxedo Black, lady bug), colorbox pigment ink (green, orange), Unity Stamp Co.(Raw Sienna);  Embellishments: Pearls(Hero Hues)

Its a long card (41/4" X 81/2") and was terribly difficult for me to photograph, no matter what angle I tried it came out crooked. Any suggestions/tricks/tips would be highly appreciated on photography skills :)
I hope I will be back soon with some more crafty share or maybe a tutorial :)
Until then, keep creating!
Edited: As per the CraftyJC Challenge requirement, this card has been sent to a non-blogging friend and I don't know how to confirm that here on blog.

Note Cards!

So finally tried to get back to crafting! My knee is still in pain and I am surviving on pain killers and trying to get as much rest as possible. Hopefully I will get well soon :)

I managed to make a set of 3 very simple note cards yesterday. Few days back when Emily shared this gift set of CAS cards, I was inspired and so I decided to make my own version.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!; stamps: Ippity by Unity Stamp Co. (Delightful Little Things, Fall for you); ink: Momento (lady bug), Unity Co. (Raw Sienna, french lilac);accents: Maya Road Chipboard (Brackets), Twine from The Twinery, Mists: Tattered Angels, Maya Road

I am playing along All things Unity Challenge#35 - Twine/Ribbon and  Simon Says...Anything Goes Challenge. I picked up the big sentiments from the Delightful little things set and made them as focal points and then used but misted chipboard pieces to add more interest.

I am BACK + Winners!

Happy Monday people! How have you been all ? I had an awesome vacation in Goa. Since it was an off season visit to Goa, I had a completely different experience there. With all the rains, paddy fields all around, high tides in the ocean, it was all so gorgeous.  And then there were narrow roads surrounded by trees and greenery on both sides, no traffic signals and no traffic jams, it was all a delight :)

And on the anniversary day, we celebrated with a chocolate cake followed by dinner at Taj Exotica. Loved the food :D

And now for the winners of my giveaway, here are the lucky two :

E.T. @VIBGYOR Krafts    (from the old follower list)
Jessica@Stamping with Jessica  (from the new follower list)

Congratulations!! Please shoot me an email at ujjwal.handmadewithlove@gmail.com with your address and I will send the RAK out to you.

And Thanks to all of you for leaving such wonderful comments. I really felt great knowing that you all love what I do here. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

As much as I want to get back to crafting, it will have to wait a while because I got a knee injury to take care of (yup, I am pretty good at getting hurt and this time it happened in Goa :) ). Hope to see you soon with something crafty !

Till then, take care!
