Recycled Project Day#2 - Birthday Reminder Book

**I am on Facebook now. I would love to see you there**

Welcome to the second day of our recycled project! I know I am a bit late(or a day late) in posting and I have a genuine reason for it. Hubby had taken a day off yesterday to take care of some pending stuff and hence my crafting plans were all trashed. We went out for a movie, had a burger in Mc'Ds and had a fun relaxing day instead.

Onto the project, it isn't something new but its my first attempt to re-cycle CDs. I have seen them converted into albums all around the blog but I decided to do it my way and instead made it into a birthday reminder book.

It started with this-some waste CDs and gorgeous Studio Calico Papers(circles are hand-cut :))

And after a couple of hours of hard work :D , turned into this- a beautiful Birthday Reminder Book  :)

Some of the month names have been cut off from an old calender and others done with alpha stickers
I think it would be a great birthday/return gift for someone who forgets your birthday :D. Just mark your birthday on the book before giving it out. FUN!

If you have any questions, don't forget to leave it in the comments. I would answer them all this Friday.

Hope you like it! Thanks for visiting!

Diwali Wishes

Hello people!! The weekend is so near that it makes me happy already :D Finally I started on my Diwali cards for this year. I know I am terribly late but I am trying to make it up. For my readers who aren't aware of the Diwali festival, Diwali is known as the festival of lights and one of the biggest festivals in India signifying the victory of good over evil. This year we are celebrating Diwali on 5 November. We celebrate by decorating our houses, lighting candle, fireworks, lots of good food, and lots and lots of sweets (I love this part :D)

Okay now enough of blabbering, here is a card a made for the Moxie Fab World Challenge - Perfectly Placed Pleats  and Speedy the Cat's Friend's Challenge - Stitching

Look how the paper pleats make for the cutest candles. Doesn't that stitched sentiment look pretty too?

After I made one and liked it, I went crazy experimenting with colors, size, and various different things :D
Here is another variations I came up with.

10 things I love about you..

...thats what I told my DH yesterday as it was our engagement anniversary. One year back on 16th of May, we got engaged and I wanted to gift him something special and different and that is when I stumbled upon Monicka Wright's blog and decided to case her wonderful note card. I took the colors from Smidapaper May Color Challenge, polka dot theme from Lawnscaping Challenge. And I am also playing along Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge#56 - Get Sticky.

Supplies: papers: Echo Park Papers(For the Record);embellishment: Element stickers from Echo Park Springtime collection, Little Girl, For the Record, Walk in the Park, Twine from the twinery(charcoal)
I used one of my favorite Echo Park collection "For the Record" for this card and love the way it turned out. Added a little hand-stitching along the edges, embellished each tag with lot of elementary stickers from different Echo Park Collection and had the most fun writing those 10 things about DH. It made me fell so ble…

A year in review 2016 + Giveaway!

Hello,

As we step into the new year, I wanted to take a moment and reflect upon this past year which has been mostly amazing for me. 2016 was tremendous for me in terms of both professional and personal life. Yes, there were moments and events that I would not never like to experience again but today I just wanted to focus on the good and happy.

So today I am going to highlight my favourite projects and moments throughout this year. I also have a giveaway for you guys as a thank you for always being so supportive and appreciative. You always motivate me to do better and more.

I started year 2016 with this close-to-my-heart watercolor piece. This artwork is special because this was the first of the many! I fell in love with using stamps to build watercolor scenes and kept making them throughout the year.

This photo of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco has so many lovely memories from our big family vacation this year. It was fun converting it into a watercolor piece. Also this …
