10 things I love about you..

...thats what I told my DH yesterday as it was our engagement anniversary. One year back on 16th of May, we got engaged and I wanted to gift him something special and different and that is when I stumbled upon Monicka Wright's blog and decided to case her wonderful note card. I took the colors from Smidapaper May Color Challenge, polka dot theme from Lawnscaping Challenge. And I am also playing along Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge#56 - Get Sticky.

Supplies: papers: Echo Park Papers(For the Record);embellishment: Element stickers from Echo Park Springtime collection, Little Girl, For the Record, Walk in the Park, Twine from the twinery(charcoal)
I used one of my favorite Echo Park collection "For the Record" for this card and love the way it turned out. Added a little hand-stitching along the edges, embellished each tag with lot of elementary stickers from different Echo Park Collection and had the most fun writing those 10 things about DH. It made me fell so ble…

today and everyday :)

A simple card today full of textures because that's the theme at All things Unity Challenge - get felt up . I also combined the ATU trifecta challenge - celebrate theme, 3" square, 3 embellishments(in my case its twine, brads, chipboard tag). I am also playing along the embossing challenge at My Unity Place.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!; stamps: Ippity (Fall for you); ink: Unity Viridian leaf; Embellishments: Honeydew Twine from the twinery, Tag chipboard(Maya Road ), brads(Basic Grey); coloring medium: Acrylic paint (turquoise), Embosing powder (Zing);
The center is a 3" square with leaves from the Ippity fall for you set, stamped and embossed. The turquoise background is created using tissue papers to add texture(need a tutorial, leave me a comment). I also left the brads so as to form a corners. The tag is from Maya Road and I love these chipboard pieces, they are perfect embellishment for every project.
I hope you like it! Thanks fo…

U & Me

Hope you all had a great start to the week!! I surely did because I made my second layout ever :D . I have to admit that scrapbooking is very addictive. I made this using the sketch at Hero Arts and incorporated stitching for Alice's Stitching challenge at Yvonne's blog.

Close up of the picture   Close up of the little bit of stamping & stitching the journaling Supplies: papers: Echo Park Papers(Playground,Springtime);stamps: Hero Arts(Speckled Ornaments); ink: Momento (lady bug), Unity Co.(Viridian Leaf), Element stickers from Echo Park Springtime collecton
I have stayed in Hostel for 8 long years and have a lots of pictures from college time. I guess its time I showed them some love. I am thinking of making an album for all the layout that I create in the coming days. Lets see when that happens. As for now, I am in love with the Echo Park Papers and you will see more of them here for days to come. Hope you like it! Thanks for playing!

No Stamping fun!

Happy Sunday and a very happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there :)

Today I have something different to share with you all. After a long long time, I have tried something without stamping. When I started making this card, it kind of seemed impossible to make a card without stamping but I managed to and I am quite happy with the end result. I am also digging into my Echo Park paper stash after months of hoarding. They are so pretty and I feel bad putting a scissors through them but this time I gave in completely :)

I am playing for Kathy's Color Throw Down at Lily Pad cards

So here it is, a multi-fold card for the first time :)

Hope you all had a great start to this week! I am back today with yet another "Thank You" card just because I love making them :D

I am playing along the Inspirational Challenge at Lily Pad and my inspiration came from Vicky's {awesome} card here . I am using the sketch over at Tiffany's TG017 .

I used the geometric design stamp sheet by Maya Road and embossed the pattern using Ranger's seafoam white embossing powder. Then I sponged different colors till I was happy with the look. To finish it off, I have added a satin ribbon and Maya Road chipboard tag which is distressed with Raw Sienna ink along the edges and the sentiment is …
