Stamping love (ItemId#1142)

My second post for today..yippeeee !!

And this one is for Yvonne's Challenge(I had wanted to play her challenges for so long and finally the day is here :D) where a very talented Karen has shared a tutorial on how to create your own stamped background. Well I know mine is nowhere near to her gorgeous creation(sigh...) but I wanted to play along and see what can I cook up.

So here it is. I had a tinie tiny rubber stamp from Hobby Ideas. I stamped it randomly(I was too lazy to draw a grid...I hope it still counts for the challenge :D) multiple times with different intensity of ink to get the effect. The beautiful blue paper came in packing and with my up - cycling ways I couldn't resist using it.

FTTC82 is challenging us to create something for summer memories and mine would be that of bright colors (Its all gloomy and raining here for the past 48 hours...ugh!!)and lots of flowers.
Hope you liked it!!Thanks for visiting!!

Thinking of you (ItemId #1141)

Good Morning !!

Hope you all had a good weekend and this week started well for you....It did for me certainly because once again I was in my one of those up cycling moods :D and created this card for the Daring Cardmakers challenge of creating a "Thinking of You" card and the best part is that it is for a good cause.

Visit the site Post Pals to see how you can help. Since I don't stay in UK, I would be posting this card to cheer someone up here in India.

About the card...I used strips of my favorite up cycling material "newspaper" to create the background. Added some wool flowers and aluminium foil to make the center of the flower. The sentiment is a peel off sticker.

And ahh did I mention that you have a chance of winning some great stuff from Ribbon Girls while doing this good deed. So go do it !!

Hope you like it!!Thanks for visiting!!

Birdies in Ruffles (ItemId#1140)

...I know thats a pathetic blog post title but at the moment I am so sleepy that I can't really think of anything else :D
And with my eyes heavy with sleep I am still writing this post because I do not want to miss EBTKS Sketch Challenge#21 which ends in another 11 hours.

So before I fell asleep on my computer table :) , here is the card I made

yeah I know I am going crazy with these ruffles..gleee :D

Those beautiful birds are a freebie from...... (I will update the post with the link later probably when I am awake enough to search for it :D)
I added tiny pearls to make their eyes.

And before I forget, here is the inside of the card

I am off to bed now........goodie goodie night people!!

And ahhh I am also putting this up for Aud Sentiments Challenge - Anything Goes. They also have a DT call case any of you is interested :)

Hope you liked it!!Thanks for visiting!!

Happy Monday people!! (well this Monday is actually happy for me as I am on leave from work..tada) Just a quick card to show today (it has been sitting on my desk for a week now).
This one is for the CraftyJC challenge #1
The alphabets are hand cut and colored with pearl colors and I just love love love that organza ribbon :D Isn't it cute??

Hope you like it!! Thanks for visiting!!

So we are in the middle of the week already and the weekend is near...hurray :D Today I have a little post for Amy's Flashback friday. She has asked us to re-post our first ever that sounds like fun.. Here is mine :)
I started my blog in February and gosh I have had such amazing 6 months here. Time just flies.. In these past 6 months I have learnt so many new techniques, met some wonderful people and made some good friends. And now when I look back, I feel I could have made the cards so much better :D Lot of scope for improvement but I guess I am still learning ;)

Special Friend (Item ID#1139)

Happy Monday !! Just a quick post(because I am already late for my office) to share a card which I made using Little Paper Shop freebie as they are having a DT call on at the moment. Their images are just so adorable that you can't resist them :) . Also, the Southern Girl Challenge Blog is having a DT call and to apply we need to make a project using our favorite things...and for me its definitely RIBBONS. I just can't live without them :D

And yeah ruffles again...I am in love with them. Thanks for visiting!! Hope you like it!!

Side Effects of Marriage :)

yeah thats what I am talking about today :D  - The biggest one is that you hardly get time to craft - You only get to post on fridays even if you have the card ready for the whole week - You start to forget which challenge ends when and you miss the dates :D  And that is what happened with this card. I made it for GS#50 and forgot to post it in time :(

The poppies are colored using Sketch pens and I applied some glossy accent on it (it isn't really visible in the pic). I hand drew the pattern in the background and tried creating ribbon ruffles for the first time and it worked :) The colors are from Cards And More Challenge #6 (atleast i am in time for this one :))

Hope you like it!! Thanks for visiting!!

Happy Birthday (Item ID#1138)

Happy Friday people!! Phew....the weekend is finally here. Fridays are always the best days for me :D

Today I want to share a card which is inspired by a number of challenges, first being the colors at Color Throwdown #104

Aren't they yummy?

Next challenge was a tough one for me since I love using embellishments- FTTC#78 Limited Supplies Challenge but never the less I gave it a try. And since I wasn't using embellishments, I made the colors to be the focus of the card and so this one effortlessly fits into the very first monthly Flourishes Bring Back beautiful Challenge - COLOR.

Here is a close up of the image

And since its a birthday card, it goes for OLLCB #59 - Birthdays
Hope you like it!! Thanks for visiting!!

Baby baby!!

Woah!! My second post in a day...that makes me feel even better :D

This is the card I made before my marriage for a dear friend who is expecting her first baby. I know the picture isn't really great but during that period I was so short of time that this is all I could get.

I used a lot of fun embellies on this one - safety pin, paper clips and buttons. The image is a vintage image I found at some site and for which I have lost the link :(
I am putting this one up for the following challenges

Totally Gorjuss #41 - All about babies
The Corrosive Challenge #85 - All About Babies
PaperPlay Challenge week #30 - Anything Goes
EBTKS Challenge #20 - Buttons

Thanks for visiting!! Hope you like it!!

My First Month Wedding Anniversary :)

Happy Wednesday everybody!!

Its so good to know that half the week has passed by and weekend will be there in just 2 days...yippeee!!

I have a card to share today which I gifted to my Dear Husband as we celebrated our first month of married life yesterday. And I can't tell you how good I felt making a card after almost 2 months.. :)

Here is a closer view of the flower on the card

And here is the inside

Sentiment is of course handwritten and I think it perfectly fits the occasion :)

I took the photo inspiration from OTWC Challenge #18 where the colors to be used are Blue, White and Yellow.

and I think this card fits perfectly for the following challenges as well
Challenge Up Your Life - Celebrations
Creative Inspiration Challenge  -  Anything Goes
Polka Doodle Week 30 - Generic Male & Female
